Grating removal, internal cleaning, blanking and sea-valve support — in-water
A fouled sea chest restricts cooling-water flow to the engines and generators, raises exhaust temperatures and can force an unscheduled docking when a strainer blocks at the worst moment. Our divers open the chest, clean the internals and restore full intake flow in the water — alongside, at anchorage or during cargo operations.
We work at 40+ African ports, mobilised from Douala in 24–72 h. Every job closes with CCTV footage of the cleaned chest and grating, delivered to your superintendent within 24 h.

Emergency Call-Out
When a sea valve needs overhaul, the chest can be blanked off underwater so the valve is worked on safely from inside the ship — no dry dock, no off-hire. Divers fit the blank, stand by during the overhaul and refit the grating on completion, with a leak test before the chest is returned to service.
The same call covers grating removal and refitting, mesh replacement and clearing of blocked intakes after grounding or heavy fouling.
Send your vessel name, port and ETA — we confirm scope and price, usually within hours, scheduled around cargo operations.
